4) If someone touches their ear while they are speaking, it may mean that they have just lied or exaggerated (18:55). People's ears might itch after they lie or exaggerate because their unconscious brains hear the lie and realizes it “heard' something different than what it thought, so it sends more blood to the ears to help them “hear better” (19:50). People with long hair might move their hair around their ears after they lie in order for them to expose their ears more and therefore “hear better” (21:41). (25:12).
